art is an expression of science and the artists are researchers | online webinar | | press release | **Qolony** (the Colony for Art & Science), in partnership with the **French Institute in Romania**, is organising on Friday, November 27, at 19:00, the online event "When art meets science", to be broadcasted online on the association's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/qolony.eu On the occasion of the **European Researchers' Night**, we are preparing an online meeting with 4 new media artists, who will talk about artistic research inspired by science: Saint Machine, Sillyconductor, Cosmin Haiaș and Ciprian Ciuclea. The webinar, moderated by **Mihaela Ghiță**, is part of a series of dialogues organized by the Qolony Association, to support the field at the intersection between art and science. Through these meetings, we aim, on the one hand, to promote emerging artists interested in science, and on the other hand, to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration between researchers and artists, which can lead to innovation and progress. The webinar will feature: **Saint Machine** - will talk about Incremental God, the artist's latest work, a virtual world whose evolution can only be influenced by looking at it. **Sillyconductor** - experiences sounds "taken" from plants. **Ciprian Ciuclea** - has a particular perspective of the representation of space. **Cosmin Haiaș** - will talk about the insinuation of technology in art even for traditional artists.
